Getting Started in Mr.Mix
Controls, the ID card, and the first-room habits that keep Mister Mix out of the kitchen.
Mr.Mix is a free Roblox horror puzzle from AirAlarm Games, live since 14 August 2024. You join a public server of up to 16 players and try to leave the house of Mister Mix, the yellow-skinned chef whose grin is not a welcome. It is inspired by the Mr Mix creepypasta. Official Chapter 2 is not out; the Roblox page still reads Chapter 2 at 110,000 Likes. There are no live promo codes. This page is the first-hour kit: how to move, what to pick up, and which traps end a run. The dedicated controls page lists C crouch, G drop, F pickup, torch, and the three flowers that are lives. The full walkthrough is the room order. The number lock is why 531 fails. The badge guide is the side-objective list. Keep the puzzle helper nearby once screens start flashing colors.
Roblox controls
On keyboard, move with WASD, look with the mouse, jump with space, and interact with the on-screen prompt (usually E or a click). Crouch with C when you need to stay low; that habit is what Under the radar measures later. On a controller or mobile stick the verbs are the same: move, jump, interact, crouch. Sprint only when you already know the floor.
Interact is not flavor. The ID card, kitchen scissors, light switches, door block, number lock, and red shock button all use it. If a prompt appears, stop and use it. Jump is not only for parkour: the first skill check is a tripwire and a gap.
First-hour checklist
- Join from the official Roblox page and stay on a public 16-player server unless you specifically want a quiet badge hunt.
- Pick up the ID card in the opening space before you do anything clever. Skip it and a later pass fails.
- Jump the tripwire and the gap. Do not walk the wire.
- Treat Mixer the spider as lethal. It sits in the first room and later under the stairs in the house.
- Take the scissors from the kitchen when you reach that room.
- Block the door so Mister Mix cannot walk in behind you.
- Turn room lights on when the space goes dark.
- Copy color-coded numbers from the screens into the number lock. The on-screen 531 is an example, not the live code.
- If Mix attacks, press the red button to shock him.
- If a bell rings, run.
Skip Perfect Escape and figurines on hour one. Learn the verbs above, then follow the Chapter 1 route. Check codes only so you know the board is empty.
ID card, tripwire, and Mixer
The ID card is the most common silent fail. Players speed through the first room, die, retry, and assume the card is still in inventory. Later, when a mouse doctor or a security line asks for a pass, the run stalls if you never picked it up. Grab it on spawn every time, including after a death.
Jump the tripwire and the gap. If Mix is already yelling, you still jump. Kitchen scissors can cut related traps once you have them, but scissors do not replace the jump.
Mixer is the spider. Touching it is a death unless you are hunting Curiosity killed the cat or Step on the same rake… Those are badge problems. For a first escape, walk around both Mixer spots: the first room and under the house stairs.
Lights, doors, and the shock button
Dark rooms are not atmosphere. Turn the lights on so you can read screens and see Mixer before you step on it. Color-coded numbers appear on those screens; type the live set into the lock. Do not reuse 531 from a thumbnail. The puzzle helper exists so you can write the live colors down without guessing.
Blocking the door buys the time those screens need. Drag the object the room gives you onto the entrance so Mix cannot stroll in while you type. If he still attacks, press the red shock button. Hiding in a corner hoping the knife misses is how first-hour runs become dinner.
Sixteen players can help or grief. Call the live lock colors out loud. Do not assume a stranger grabbed your ID card. Public servers are fine for learning the route.
Once those first-room habits are automatic, stop guessing the later map. Open the walkthrough and run the house with a plan instead of a panic sprint.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Mr.Mix questions.
What are the Mr.Mix controls on Roblox?
WASD or a stick to move, space or jump to clear the tripwire, interact for items and locks, and C or crouch to stay low. The same verbs work on PC, mobile, and console.
Do I have to pick up the ID card at the start?
Yes. Take it in the opening space. If you skip it, a later security pass fails and you cannot finish the Chapter 1 route cleanly.
How do 16-player servers change the first hour?
Puzzles still need the same item order. Extra people help with Mixer watches and lock callouts, but they can also steal the ID card or shove you into the spider.
Are there working Mr.Mix codes?
No. AirAlarm Games is not running a live promo-code drop. The codes hub is empty on purpose.
What should I do if the room goes dark or Mix attacks?
Turn the lights on, keep the door blocked, and press the red shock button if he lunges. If a bell rings, stop looting and run.
